My Story
I’m Nick, a holistic nutritionist in training, currently studying at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. My journey into the world of nutrition and healing began with overcoming my own health struggles. For years, I faced chronic health issues that seemed unresolvable—daily migraines, gut imbalances, an ulcer, and even an H. Pylori infection. I felt trapped in my body, unable to find lasting relief from conventional treatments.
Through my own research and an intuitive approach to eating, I discovered the transformative power of herbs, plants, and whole foods. Healing my gut was the key to healing my migraines and improving my overall well-being. It wasn’t just about what I ate—it was about reconnecting with my body and honoring its natural healing abilities. This journey inspired me to pursue formal education in nutrition, so I can help others heal in the same way.
I’m currently based in Portland, Oregon, where I live with my wonderful wife, a birth doula who shares my passion for supporting families on their wellness journeys. Together, we are dedicated to creating a space where individuals can nurture their health in both body and spirit.
As part of my holistic approach, I love encouraging fertility through both modern and indigenous practices, particularly those rooted in Ayurvedic traditions. My own heritage is deeply tied to Ayurveda, as my grandfather was a revered holistic healer in his village in Punjab, India. He taught our family the power of spices, herbs, foods, and lifestyle practices and I carry those teachings with me as I guide others on their own fertility and healing journeys.
Before pursuing nutrition, I worked as a caseworker with the State of Oregon, supporting youth, teens, and children in the foster care system. This background in social work has shaped my empathetic approach to healing, as I understand the deep connections between physical health, emotional well-being, and life circumstances.
